With all my recent efforts in moving toward more open web options, I’ve funneled a lot of my “just checks” into less and less apps.
The aimless scrolling is just in Icro (or whatever Micro.blog client I settle into), Unread, and Spark now.
I’ve split my RSS reading into two apps with separate Tiny Tiny RSS instances. I’m using Unread for my personal RSS feed reading and ReadKit for my work-related feed reading. It’s a nice change of pace and should help me disconnect a bit more outside work hours.
I’ve had mike.rockwell.mx for about a month. In that time I’ve published 126 posts and received 150 comments. Webmentions and services that embrace them — like Micro.blog — are incredibly powerful tools for communication.

I try to avoid talking politics, but the bubbles that many of us have created are not only making us more hateful, but keeping us under-informed.
Following YouTube channels over RSS has been fantastic.
As nice as it is to not check Twitter all day, it does leave me feeling a little lost sometimes.
